Then porn became our first source of “sex education”. Sadly, porn distorts sex to make it more pleasurable to view. Porn is fantasy, not reality.
If you believe porn sex is the right kind of sex, you’re wrong.
This talk by Cindy Gallop has led us to Make Love Not Porn, a site devoted to reveal the differences between porn sex and real world sex. Yes, there are a lot of differences.

Cindy Gallop explains the rationale behind the Make Love Not Porn website at TED Talks. TED Talks is a very prestigious event where professionals of the world gather to listen to talks by the avant-gardes in the fields of technology, entertainment and design.
And Cindy is there to talk about porn. Mmm. You can imagine how much attention it stirred. I’m sure many women wanted to rant this out for a long time, Cindy is a genius to actually do something about it.

Sorry to put you down, but that’s the truth. Porn is fantasy. Porn is a multi-million dollar industry creating videos for our viewing pleasure. They are directed, controlled and the actors are professionals. Even the ones that claims to be amateur or the “first-time” ones had probably done it a few hundred times before getting on to the camera.
Porn is created to satisfy men’s (and some women’s) fantasy. So of course you can’t take them as real. Real sex is different. We have to satisfy and respect both parties in real life sex. While some things you see in porn can be universally true, some things are just made a general practice in porn for fantasy purposes.
Oh no, I’m not telling you to not watch porn. I’m a porn junkie myself and I watch plenty of porn. But you just have to know that some things can be learned while most things are for viewing pleasures only.
Here are some examples taken from the Make Love Not Porn website:
Porn world: Men love coming on women’s faces, and women love having men come on their faces.
Real world: Some women like this, some women don’t. Some guys like to do this, some guys don’t. Entirely up to personal choice.
Porn world: Women come all the time in positions where nothing is going on anywhere near the clit.
Real world: There has to be some sort of rhythmic pressure on the clit in just the right way to make a women come. Can be pubic bone, tongue, fingers, something else entirely. But it has to be there.
Porn world: Women have no hair down there.
Real world: Some women shave, some women don’t. Some men actively prefer women to keep their hair. If you do shave, it requires constant maintenance which can be a pain in the ass. Entirely up to personal choice.Note: And damn right! I’m not going to do it again for the rest of my life!! :X
Porn world: Women love being called ‘bitch’ and ‘whore’ while fucking.
Real world: Some people like dirty talk, some don’t. Some do it naturally, others can’t bring themselves to. Some women get turned on by abusive terms, other’s don’t. If you don’t like what’s being said to you during sex, say so. If you do like what’s being said, say so.Note: However I tend to find this true on Western porn. Japanese porn tends to be less verbal during sex though. :P
Porn world: Women love being made to gag during blowjobs by having their heads grabbed and a man’s cock shoved forcibly right down their throats.
Real world: Some women may like this, but based on an unscientific sample, an awful lot don’t. Suffocating, choking, retching and having your gag reflex kick in is a real buzz-kill during sex.
That’s just part of them.
It doesn’t only apply to heterosexual sex, it applies to gay sex as well. Gay porn are as vulgar or possibly more vulgar than straight porn, and many guys out there really get the wrong idea about it!

although u said school teaches us how to use a condom, do they? I dun remember a thing how to put on a rubber by Malaysian schools…i had a friend who totally wasted a box of condom on his first day..he end up have to get another box…of coz the small box with 3 condoms in it la..haha

That’s a very deep blog post. It made more than just sense. It will definitely show those who have the wrong view of “making love” the right way out.
I believe that sex isn’t just purely for pleasure. It has a whole dimension to it. It’s the conjoining of two different people not just physically but emotionally and spiritually.
Some misled people think what they see in porn is real, and try to apply it in real life. However, sometimes, what goes on in real life, despite being just plain and simple, is most beautiful. More beautiful than any fantasy world anyone can create.
I guess people should just stop at watching alone, instead of carrying out, when it comes to porn(:

I agree that a lot of what is portrayed in porn is fake, but I seriously doubt that nothing in it is real. For example, I've heard of people who would like to have sex in front of their home cam, having "real" sex, and you can't tell me that that's fake.
